Immigration Psychiatrist Reports

Anteris is pleased to be able to offer the service of Immigration Psychiatrist Reports.

Increasingly, Immigration New Zealand recognises the need for the mental health of visa applicants to be assessed prior to visas being granted.

Reports are commonly requested to assess the level of need for community or hospital services a visa applicant may require.

The cost of these reports may vary, depending on how much material needs to be read prior to your appointment with the psychiatrist. We ask that you obtain any relevant psychiatrist letters, notes or hospital discharge summaries to help us in preparing the report.

We understand that such reports may be required urgently and we like to be able to prioritise immigration reports amongst our doctors’ other clinical work.

What documentation and additional information will be required?

Please bring the following with you to the assessment:

  • Passport

  • NZ E-Medical Referral Letter (original)

  • Any prescription medications

You are welcome to organise an interpreter to be present if required.

How do I begin the process in obtaining an Immigration Psychiatrist Report?

Please make an inquiry by sending the Immigration New Zealand letter requesting a report to referrals@anteris.nz and we will assign you to our next available psychiatrist.
